    About the role

Every client has a calendar and a set of objectives that range from awareness to brand activation to pipeline. Your job is to help meet them.

The work is audience acquisition research: identifying the right people, enriching what we already know about them with fresh insight, and delivering the attendee numbers each event needs, with the right roles in the room and a real reason for them to be there.

If you like finding out how industries actually work, who really makes decisions inside a company, and why a job title on LinkedIn often does not match what someone actually does, this is a good role for you.

    Key responsibilities

    Define the audience

    • Work with the Client Partner to turn a client's ICP into a working target definition across industries, size bands, geographies, functions and seniority
    • Identify which job titles genuinely hold the problem the event addresses

    Build the list

    • Research target companies and build named contact lists
    • Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator alongside the Amzai database and intelligence engine

Add the context that makes outreach land

    • Link company priorities and executive priorities to the individual's role, as a human in the loop
    • Map each segment to the events on the calendar and the themes they cover

    Own the data

    • Keep records clean, deduplicated and current
    • Document your sources and reasoning so someone else can pick up your work
    • Track coverage and gaps per event and region
    • Feed response and attendance data back so the next event starts from a better list

    Required qualifications

    Essential

    • 2 to 5 years in market research, secondary research, audience or contact research, demand generation research, or business research
    • Genuinely strong at desk research: you can find things other people cannot, and you know when a source is unreliable
    • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets: lookups, pivots, deduplication, data cleaning
    • Clear written English. You will write short research notes that clients read.
    • Comfortable working with ambiguity. Client briefs are rarely complete.

    Nice to have

    • LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience and exposure to CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce
    • Familiarity with any of our client sectors: law firms, conference organisers, B2B technology, life sciences
    • Any experience in B2B events, conferences or field marketing

What is in it for you

    Reward

Competitive salary with a discretionary performance bonus

    Time

    Your birthday off, every year

    Growth

Training and development opportunities as the function grows

    Flexibility

Flexible working conditions, with much of the team working remotely

    What this role is not

    • Not a cold-calling or telesales role. You will not be dialling.
    • Not a technical data analyst role. No SQL or Python required.
    • Not list-buying. We research; we do not purchase and forward.

    Career path

    • Delivery track: Specialist, then Senior Specialist, then Client Partner
    • Research track: Specialist, then Senior Specialist, then Industry Analyst covering one industry in depth
    • Both branches are senior, and you do not have to manage people to progress
