Data and Automation Engineer
Own the technical backbone of the Amzai Research Engine: integrations, data quality and AI assistants that automate the research.
About the role
Amzai builds and runs executive event and demand-generation programmes for B2B companies across technology, life sciences, legal, associations, B2B media and the events industry. Behind that work is the Amzai Research Engine, our proprietary platform that finds the right people to invite to each event and tells us why they are worth reaching.
We are looking for the engineer who keeps that data flowing, keeps it accurate, and teaches the system to do more of the research on its own. You will own the technical backbone of a new data function and have real say in how it is built.
We are open to fractional or contract to start, converting to full-time as the system matures.
Key responsibilities
Provider integrations
- Build and maintain integrations to our data providers: Coresignal, PDL, PredictLeads
- Design failover to a backup provider if one goes down
Data quality
- Remove duplicates and fill gaps
- Refresh contacts as people change jobs
- Keep the data clean and trustworthy
AI assistants
- Build assistants that read company information and summarise it
- Flag good opportunities and automate more of the research over time
Run the live system
- Monitor it and fix issues
- Measure whether it fills more event seats than the manual process
Required qualifications
Essential
- A hands-on software engineer comfortable working with data. This is a hands-on coding role.
- Experience with API integrations to third-party data sources
- A strong eye for data accuracy and quality
- Experience using LLMs inside real products
- Comfortable with Python and databases
Nice to have
- Experience with sales, marketing or business data providers
- Familiarity with AI agents and automation
- Working knowledge of data privacy rules such as GDPR
